We have studied
for 4 years Osteopathy, in which we spent 2 years in ESO
(European School of Osteopathy) in Maidstone, UK; and graduated in
July 2005. During these two years, we studied English and spoke
fluently whilst treating patients in the school's clinic supervised
by clinic tutors.

Osteopathy is a
holistic way of treating; meaning that the osteopath considers the
whole body, the life style, emotions and psyche during the
treatment and not just the symptoms. It means for the patient that
the cause of the pain will be prioritised. The pain is often
only
a symptom.
Importantly,
Osteopathy is useful for more than just lower back pain! It can be
used to treat any other area of the body including problems in
limbs and head aches.
Babies: tensions due to difficult
birth, sleeping disturbances, digestive problems (colic),
sinusitis...
Mother:before, during and after
the pregnancy; to prepare the body to give birth and to help
the body to go back to normal after the baby's birth.
Sport injury: sprains, tendinitis,
joint pain, muscle pain...
Adults: stress, lumbar pain,
sciatica, sleeping problems, anxiety, neck pain, abdominal pain, jaw
pain, arms and legs pain...
After the
treatment tiredness and aches can be expected as the body is readjusting its
position, it means that muscles are going to be used differently as
before and may create tightness which will gradually disappear in a
couple of days.
